It reduces the original functionality for editing the plot and only leaves it with a rastered version of the plots. I actually think P圜harm scientific view is more of a hindrance than a help. Hands-on Application Development with P圜harm starts with P圜harms installation and configuration process, and systematically takes you through a number of its powerful features that can greatly improve your productivity. I have looked for the answers but most of those answers only address the problem of incorrect backend, apparently not applicable to my scenario. However, the abundance of options and customizations can make P圜harm seem quite intimidating.

A code cell is a block of lines to be executed all at once in the integrated Python console. This seems to not be possible in Pycharm's Pro Edition newly introduced scientific mode (View -> Scientific Mode), where iof I start the execution of one cells, I can't click a different cell to execute, as it displays a message saying 'Previous execution still running'. Don’t forget to enable Scientific Mode in View Scientific Mode before trying this feature out.

It must be some setting for my P圜harm that went wrong. Important Note: Code cells are supported only in the P圜harm Professional Edition with the Scientific Mode enabled. So I just disable the Python Scientific -> Show plots in tool window, then my program still runs with no error, but no figure is displayed.īecause it can be displayed normally for the scientific mode, I don't think this is the problem of my program. Expected behaviour would be that these scripts would run in the normal (output) console. My program works fine when I view it in scientific mode, but I found that I cannot edit the plot in scientific mode, while I remember I can do that when the plot is displayed in a separate window. When I activate Scientific Mode in Pycharm, then run some python scripts and then deactivate Scientific mode again, sometimes some python scripts still have 'Run with python console' activated (when I run them again). At the same time, P圜harm has Conda integration that lets you keep dependencies.
